When you have made the decision to get serious and lose that belly fat once and for all there are a few specific things you can do to guarantee your success. Follow these 11 tips daily and you will soon have the body you always wanted. Be sure to check out below how to turn this list into your own powerful weight loss story.
1. Plan your meals, snacks, supplements and drinks in advance. Waiting until your blood sugar has crashed will sabotage your ability to stay on track with the program.
2. Preparation starts with having everything you need (and not tempting yourself with foods you don't need) to carry out your week. Spend some time cleaning out the cupboards of foods not on the acceptable list. Schedule your eating times the same way you schedule appointments in your day planner.
3. When shopping, choose the best organically grown fruits and vegetables from a natural foods market. Always choose produce that are a bright and vibrant color; signifying an abundance of vitamins and minerals. Buy almonds that are raw and organically grown. Roasted, salted nuts are high in sodium and hydrogenated oils from the processing.
4. Stay away from canned, processed, refined or enriched foods. These foods are loaded with sodium, preservatives, high glycemic sugars, hydrogenated oils, and many "empty" calories. These foods give the body a false sense of satisfaction without much nourishment.
5. When eating out, always order beans and/or vegetables or a small potato or serving of rice. If they have pasta be sure to keep your portions small. Although most pastas are considered low glycemic, the amount of calories by weight still makes pasta a carbohydrate dense food. So limit your serving size. Turn away the bread served before the meal. Bread when eaten before meal can cause your body to go quickly into a fat storage mode.
6. Carry a water bottle with filtered water or bottled water with you during the day to assure consistent hydration at all times. Small sips of water consumed between meals keep the body running at optimal levels. Remember your goal is to consume one half your body weight in ounces of water daily.
7. Vegetables that are steamed or eaten raw contain a much higher percentage of nutrients than prepared in any other form. Raw vegetables contain many enzymes that can assist your body with digestion. Boiling vegetables causes most of the nutrients to be lost in the water. Sprouted vegetables contain the highest amounts of enzymes of any food.
8. Learn what your individual meal portions are and stay focused on not over or under eating each meal. Small balanced meal eaten every 3-4 hours will help you master this plan.
9. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and will help set your body's energy levels for the day. Choose either a shake that is in balance for what you need or design a food meal that will give your body a boost to start the day. Skipping breakfast or replacing breakfast with coffee is one of the most destructive habits to form. Make sure you eat breakfast; this will get the day off to a good start.
10. An essential oil blend can be a simple way to get your essential fatty acids on a daily basis. Most people need only one teaspoon daily to feed the cells what they need to put the body into hormonal balance. Fish oil capsules, evening primrose oil and borage oil are other essential oil supplements that can help.
11. Create a list of your 5 favorite breakfast, lunch and dinner combinations. Start by listing out the best choices of proteins and the portions you need. (Example: 3 ounce chicken breast = 20 grams of protein). Then go to carbohydrates (use the glycemic foods book) and finally list the fats you need to bring the meal into balance. This is a good exercise to see where you are with your basic nutrition knowledge.

What You Need To Know About Fat Burning Food Lists
Fat burning food lists are all over the Internet and claim that you can burn fat and lose weight simply by eating certain foods. It sounds almost too good to be true, but are these fat burning foods for real, or just another weight loss myth sucking you into the next fad diet plan?
Also referred to as negative calorie foods, these lists of fat burning foods mention unprocessed and natural carbohydrate foods which are high in fiber and very low in calories such as fruits and green vegetables. Examples of these foods include asparagus, lettuce, broccoli, green cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, apples, blueberries, cantaloupes, and cranberries.
Why are these fat burning foods often called as negative calorie foods? It’s because some experts say these foods are so low in calories that you use more energy than you take in to digest and process foods. To give you an example of how many calories these foods have let’s take a cup of cucumbers. Compared to a cup of rice which has 200 calories, a cup of cucumbers has only 24 calories.
Foods which are high in fiber and low in calories such as those on fat burning food lists are very healthy and can help you manage your weight. These foods fill you up easily and curb your appetite, and are usually low GI and therefore digested very slowly with little effect on your blood sugar level limiting cravings. Not only that, but they also slow down the digestion of higher GI foods such as white potatoes and white rice when eaten together.
Before you run to your local grocery to buy all the negative calorie foods you can find I should warn you that while they do have many health benefits you will not burn fat effortlessly and lose weight just by eating a bunch of fat burning or negative calorie foods.
It’s important to note that if you keep eating high-fat and high-sugar foods you will still gain weight unless you stop eating these first. Also, when you add butter and other foods, or when you cook anything on these fat burning food lists this changes the caloric make-up and the effect on your body. Experts have also discovered that the calorie deficit from eating negative calorie foods is negligible and does not directly cause much weight loss.
You would have to eat a diet that consists of just raw vegetables and fruits, which is very difficult to do, in order to see considerable weight loss results from fat burning foods. However, negative calorie diets are around which teach you do exactly this, claiming that by following their instructions you can lose as much as 2 pounds of fat every day. Don’t you think that if such diets were as effective as this then studies would exist to prove such claims? Not only is this claim completely baseless but a diet of just negative calorie foods is also very unhealthy.
You will not only be deficient of necessary nutrients which help your body function when you consume a very low number of calories but your body will also break down muscle tissue. When your metabolism slows down in this manner, you suddenly notice that it’s now a lot easier to gain fat which is because, since you do not have as much muscle to provide nutrients to, your body does not need as many calories so can store more as fat.
On top of this, low calorie diets put your body into starvation mode which is where it realizes that it’s not getting anywhere near the energy it needs and decides to conserves it’s stored energy (fat!). In other words, if you do lose fat, it won’t be long before this will stall and if you do continue to lose weight it will be at the expense of rest of your body.
If you ignore the hype, foods such as those which are mentioned on fat burning food lists, which are high in fiber and low in calories, will aid your weight loss and improve your health but don’t forget that contrary to what some may say too much of a good thing is sometimes bad for you.

Anxiety Depression Treatment with DHEA
Anxiety and depression are treatable forms of mental illness. With anxiety, the patients are overwhelmed with worry, too frightened to face a situation and with no other wish than to keep themselves locked up at home. In depression, the patients feel dejected, discouraged, worthless, and sometimes show suicidal tendency in severe cases.
The severity of the symptoms in both these conditions prevents a person living a normal life, or the life that is normal for them. Instead of being in control of their hormones, their hormones control them. It is not surprising then, that anxiety and depression treatment should exist in the form of natural hormones. What might be more surprising is that these hormones for the treatment of depression can come in the form of supplements.
DHEA, (Dehydroepiandrosterone) is a hormone produced in the adrenal glands. It can also be manufactured by the gonads (ovaries for women; testes for men) when the adrenal gland is under stress. DHEA regulates the thyroid and pituitary glands besides exerting a powerful impact on the entire body by keeping up the physical and mental balance of the body.
Usually the level of DHEA hormone is at peak at the age of 25, after that, it starts decreasing at the rate of about 2% per year. Generally by the age of 40 its secretion declines considerably and you the effects of lower DHEA may be felt. DHEA hormone also declines rapidly when the body is suffering from disease. More importantly, if the body is put under stress for long periods of time then DHEA production can drop considerably - leading to fatigue, lowered energy levels, and anxiety depression. It is this connection between DHEA deficiency and anxiety depression that has led people to believe that DHEA can be an effective active anti depression treatment. Research done into DHEA appears to confirm this…
Properties of DHEA for Anxiety Depression Treatment
DHEA has a number of useful properties that make it a useful anti depression treatment. Research has confirmed that there is a direct link between taking DHEA supplementation, and the effective treatment of anxiety depression.
Reduction of Cortisol
DHEA helps in depression treatment by reducing the production of the hormone cortisol, which is also produced by adrenal gland. Excessive secretion of cortisol hormone causes cellular damage, and can give rise to some of the symptoms of depression. Cortisol is produced in excess by the adrenal gland when under stress. Supplementation of DHEA helps in improving the symptoms of depression by decreasing the secretion of cortisol and increasing stress tolerance.
Increase of Serotonin Levesl
As well as decreasing the “bad,” DHEA can also treat depression by increasing the “good.” DHEA helps in depression treatment by increasing serotonin (a neurotransmitter) levels in the brain and controlling the production of other brain chemicals that help manage stress. Serotonin helps improve mood, and combat the symptoms of depression.
DHEA is widely used in the depression treatment because it enhances stress coping abilities, boosts mood, and gives a feeling of relaxation. The University of California La Jolla showed a significant increase in the mental and physical level of depression patients when DHEA was used. The study conducted on patients suffering from anxiety and depression experienced improved energy levels, better mood, and an ability to handle stressful situations. DHEA is a controversial supplement because it has often been touted as a treatment for diseases where no known connection is known. However, it is undeniable that DHEA supplements can be used in anxiety depression treatment with positive results.
